Rs 22L worth books on Vedanta literature, Swamiji bought at book fair
Books on Ramakrishna, Vivekananda and Vedanta literature worth over Rs 50 lakh were sold in the recently-concluded 47th International Kolkata Book Fair.
Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay inaugurated Basanta Boimela O Boi Utsab on College Square early this week.
Sixty stalls have been set up at College Square, venue of the boi utsav. Seventy publishing houses, big and small, have taken part in the fair.
It is organized by Publishers and Booksellers Guild and its president Tridib Chattopadhyay and general secretary Sudhangshu Dey were present at the inaugural function.

Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Mala Roy, both Trinamul MPs attended the inaugural ceremony. Two gates have been set up which have been named after Michael Madhusudan Dutt and Jibananda Das.
It is learnt that 250 children will be given books, colours and plungers on the concluding day of the fair.
